Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FateBreak ("FateBreak", "we", "us"), a game playable as a Discord Activity and on the web, operated by GREYCASTLE SOLUTIONS LTD, trading as FateBreak. By playing FateBreak you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FateBreak, and at least the minimum age required by Discord and by the laws of your country. You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service when playing there. By using FateBreak you confirm that you meet these requirements.

To make a purchase you must be 18 or over, or have the permission of a parent or guardian. By paying you confirm this.

2. Your account

Your progress is tied to your Discord (or web) account. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for abuse or fraud.

3. Virtual items and purchases

FateBreak offers virtual items such as character spins and in-game currency (for example, Ruin Coins and Fate Tokens). These items have no real-world monetary value, are licensed to you (not owned), and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred outside the game.
Some items are paid (for example, a first character spin). Payments are processed by Discord and/or Stripe; their terms and fees apply to the transaction.
UK cancellation rights. As a consumer in the UK you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because virtual items are delivered immediately, by completing a purchase you ask us to supply the content right away and acknowledge that you lose this 14-day cancellation right once delivery has begun. Otherwise purchases are final and non-refundable. This does not affect your statutory rights if content is faulty or not as described.
Refunds, where they apply, are handled under the policies of the payment provider you used (Discord or Stripe).
We may change prices, items, and features at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: cheat, exploit bugs, automate or script the game unfairly, harass other players, submit unlawful or offensive content, attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.

5. Content you create

You are responsible for the names you give characters and any ideas or suggestions you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display it within FateBreak. Do not submit content that is offensive, infringing, or unlawful; we may remove it and may restrict accounts that abuse this.

6. AI-generated content

Character art, lore, and narration are produced by artificial intelligence from your character's attributes. AI output is provided "as is", may be imperfect or unexpected, and your rights in it are limited to using it within FateBreak.

7. Intellectual property

FateBreak, including its name, branding, code, systems, and assets, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the game or its content.

8. Availability & changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, game modes, or the service at any time, with or without notice. We aim to keep the game running smoothly but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

FateBreak is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using FateBreak at any time and delete your characters in-game. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and continued use of FateBreak means you accept the updated Terms.

This document is provided for transparency and may be updated. If you have specific legal requirements for your jurisdiction, please review it with that in mind.
